Shure ULXD4Q Quad Wireless System with SM58 Handheld Transmitters
Shure ULX-D delivers digital wireless innovation that has become an industry standard for installed wireless. Packing digital receivers into a single rackmount chassis, the ULXD4Q forms the heart of a ULX-D system. Digital predictive switching diversity ensures rock-solid signal stability, and the system includes AES 256-bit encryption for applications requiring secure data transmission, along with wideband tuning for far-ranging compatibility.
The ULXD4Q features individual gain controls, LED meters, and XLR outputs for each channel. High Density mode optimizes the receiver to accommodate more active transmitters on a single TV channel, and RF cascade ports allow distribution of the RF signal to another unit. The system also offers optimized frequency scanning, bodypack frequency diversity, and audio summing, and it supports networked control via Ethernet, Dante integration, and Shure's Wireless Workbench software.
At the core of the handheld side of the system is the ULXD2 transmitter, featuring 24-bit/48kHz conversion and an SM58 microphone cartridge that delivers a dynamic, cardioid pickup pattern. Shure's proprietary Gain Ranging optimizes dynamic range without the need for manual transmitter gain adjustments, and each transmitter includes a backlit LCD with an easy-to-navigate menu, frequency and power lockout, and a rugged metal enclosure.
The system is supported by Shure's SBC200 series docking chargers for SB900-series rechargeable batteries, letting you charge multiple batteries at once, whether standalone or installed in a beltpack or handheld transmitter. The Shure SB900C rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack delivers up to 12 hours of uninterrupted power for ULX-D, QLX-D, Axient Digital, and PSM systems, offering a longer lifespan and more charge cycles than earlier SB900 models.
