The FBT VHA 406 is a passive 2-way 800W RMS line array module from FBT’s Horizon series, designed to deliver maximum versatility in both vertical and horizontal deployments for live events, theatrical installations, and medium-to-large scale fixed systems. Despite its compact form factor, the system offers high-performance output, featuring four 6.5″ woofers with 1.5″ voice coils and a 1.4″ B&C neodymium compression driver with a 2.5″ voice coil, mounted on a precision-engineered waveguide developed using BEM modeling techniques. This ensures wide and consistent coverage, with a horizontal dispersion of 90° and a vertical pattern of 20°. Designed for use with external amplification and dedicated DSP processing, the VHA 406 supports array configurations of up to six vertical modules or five horizontal modules per flybar, allowing flexible setups from focused coverage to full 360° horizontal dispersion. The cabinet is built from 12mm birch plywood with a scratch-resistant black finish, offering a robust and elegant design suited for both flown and ground-stacked applications. The rear-facing input panel provides two Neutrik NL4M Speakon connectors In & link and the front of the loudspeaker is covered with a powder-coated perforated steel grille. When paired with VHA 112S or VHA 118S passive subwoofers, the system extends its frequency response down to 30Hz, providing powerful and coherent full-range performance in any professional audio environment.
